You’re not going to see ME going to see a shrink! 

There are so many different variations on this statement, I’ve heard dozens and I don’t think I’ve heard them all. The challenges around helping a veteran to understand the benefits of working with a mental health professional are significant. It’s a main goal of mine, both in my clinical practice and in the outreach efforts I engage in.

I’m starting another project that will help bridge the gap between the need of a veteran for mental health counseling and the understanding of the mental health professional about these needs. For that, I need your help! Could you take a few minutes to fill out this short survey about thoughts and attitudes towards veteran mental health? Your insight will be extremely helpful in getting the point across: seek help, if needed. Provide help, if possible.
